The Bank of the West CIM Relay Challenge allows runners to participate in the marathon experience, have access to race support and enjoy the camaraderie of team competition, without committing to run the 26.2-mile distance.
Although most teams have four people, you may enter a two- or three- person team in the Bank of the West CIM Relay Challenge.
Relay Challenge Entry Fees:
The price you see is the price you pay–no transaction fees. Period.
- Early Registration: $175 (March 1 through July 13)
- Standard Registration: $225 (July 14 through November 18)
- Expo Registration: $275 (December 2 through December 3)
Pending availability, a limited number of relay team slots will be made available in-person at the Relay Packet Pick-Up tables at the CIM Expo. Teams can register and make changes to an existing team at the solutions desk at the CIM Expo.
- High School Registration: $50 (March 1 through November 18)
All relay members must be current high school students to register under this category. Pending availability, a limited number of high school relay team slots will be made available in-person at the Relay Packet Pick-Up tables at the CIM Expo.
Important Note About the Bank of the West CIM Relay Challenge Registration:
Registering a Team
The team captain can register and pay for the entire team.
If you are registering your entire team, simply click “Register Another” when you come to the end of registration. As long as you enter your team name, you will not be charged for the subsequent registrations. If you want your teammates to register themselves, have them enter the team name when prompted. They will not be charged for their registration (the team captain pays the registration fee). It is important that all team members’ information be entered so all members will receive the same race benefits.
Relay Team Registration Information
The team captain registering a team for the relay will be allowed to complete the contact and team information and submit payment for the whole team. If a team captain is registering the entire team, the team captain will need the following required information for all team members before beginning the online registration process:
- Cell Phone
- T-Shirt Size for each member

No refunds. No deferrals. Once you have completed the registration process you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate and you may not defer your entry fee to a future race.
